The Aims Of The Site
To pay tribute to the Lucas family for the contribution that they made to the people of Birmingham. Without the Lucas factories there would have been a lot more poverty in Birmingham
I know that the people of Birmingham and other parts of the country who worked for Lucas have a pride in saying `I worked for Lucas and have many happy memories of working there'.
I have built this site to enable everyone who worked at any of the Lucas factories throughout England or abroad and want to share their memories or photos to be able to put them onto this site
I would like people to use this site to look through and see old friends that they worked with and wonder where they are now and maybe be able to put them in touch with one another.
The photos in the gallery’s are photos that have been sent to me over the last 12 months and have been filled in as best as possible by the people who loaned them to me
If you find that I have made a mistake, with names or places please let me know and I will be more than happy to change any of the information, as I am only going on information that I have recieved.
I would Like to thank Mary Bunce for giving me her permission to use any of the material from Gordons books
I would also like to thank the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust for giving me permission to put photos onto this web site as they hold the copyright to a lot of the Lucas material
The Site Is Under Construction, Please Come Back Frequently Because I Will Be Adding New Content On A Regular Basis.
